The club enters a team of four players each year in the national Murphy Shield knock-out competition. The draw and results for 2025 can be viewed by clicking here.
Branston beat Nottingham 4-3 in its first round match and now faces Pendle in Lancashire on 5 June.
Unfortunately, we lost 5-2 against Pendle but it was hard fought and we look forward to next year’s campaign.
Regional League
The Club enters three teams in the level play league organised by the Federation of East Midlands Croquet Clubs (FEMCC).

The results in the tables below give the Branston score first. Where there is a match report available, the score is highlighted in red.
The Club enters two teams, the Bandits and the Braves, in the Local Lincolnshire League which is aimed at encouraging higher handicapped players to participate in competitions.
The Club holds three open competitions: Doubles (17th May), Singles (12th July) and the Inter-Club Fours (13th September). Click on the event name to open and download the entry form.
In 2024, the Doubles was won for the third successive year by Claire and Stuart Worsnop.
In the Handicap Singles 2024, Michael Hepstock of Gainsborough won in the final against Claire Worsnop.
Internal Competitions
Four internal competitions are held annually:
Doubles – knockout played over the season with pairs drawn from a lower and a higher handicap group.
Handicap Singles (all handicaps) – knockout played over the season.
Handicap Singles (for handicaps 8 and higher) – knockout played over the season.
The Gerald Foreman Fours (one day tournament) will be held on 26th April 2025.
