Branston Croquet Club

Welcome

We play croquet in the village of Branston, four miles south-east of Lincoln. We have three lawns, each of which is five-sevenths of a full-size lawn.

Our season runs from April to October and we play every day except Mondays when the lawns are let to the local u3a croquet group.

The Club has three teams entered in the regional golf croquet league, and two teams in the local Lincolnshire league. We also organise tournaments, both internal and ones open to members of other clubs, and friendly matches with local clubs.

We hold a monthly Club Day when members come together for tea and croquet. So, there are plenty of opportunities to play either competitively or socially.

We are always keen to welcome new members whether novices or those who are experienced. There will always be someone to give you a game.

Interested in Playing?

We offer a warm welcome to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to join with us in playing this highly enjoyable and sociable game. Mallets of all sizes are available for the use of members and visitors. We offer tuition for beginners. All we ask is that you wear flat-soled shoes.

The joy of croquet is that the  game can be learnt quickly. It is one of the few sports in which men and women, young or old, can play on equal terms regardless of physique and strength.

Before deciding whether to join, you are welcome to come and try the game. For further information about croquet, please explore our website where you can learn more about the game and find membership and contact details.

As can be seen in the section below, we are especially keen to see  families and younger players join us.
